In a small village, there lived a poor boy named Ramu. His parents, due to extreme poverty, couldn’t afford to give him a good education, but Ramu’s heart was filled with a desire to become educated and successful. He always tried to learn alongside his friends whenever he saw them studying.
One day, a wealthy merchant came to the village and organized a science exhibition to showcase his latest invention. Hearing this, Ramu’s heart leaped with excitement. He saw his friends participating in the exhibition and expressed his desire to join them.
Ramu went to his parents to ask for money, but they dismissed his wish. Disheartened, Ramu went to his room and began to cry.
At that moment, a wise saint visited him. Seeing Ramu crying, the saint asked, “Son, why are you crying?” Ramu shared his feelings, saying, “Mahatma ji, I don’t have money, and my parents won’t let me participate in the science exhibition. I can’t join my friends, and I’m very upset.” The saint smiled and said, “Son, even without money, you can achieve progress through hard work and ability. You must build your confidence and move toward your goals.”
Ramu deeply understood the saint’s words and overcame his despair. He began working hard day and night, focused on his studies, and sought help from his friends. He prepared for the science exhibition and strove to be the best.
Finally, the day of the science exhibition arrived. Ramu presented his project and achieved remarkable success. People closely admired his exhibit, and he received widespread praise. Ramu not only earned respect but also secured a good education.
Moral of the story: This story teaches us that success doesn’t require material possessions. Even amidst poverty and challenges, we can reach great heights through hard work, ability, and self-confidence. Therefore, we should never give up on our dreams; instead, we should stay motivated to work hard and move forward.
