Rahul was returning from the market when a one-rupee coin fell from his pocket. He tried to find it on the ground but couldn’t. Nearby, a poor boy was rummaging through a garbage bin. Rahul felt pity for him.
Rahul asked the boy, “Did you lose something?” The boy replied, “Nothing, uncle. Just trying to gather money for food.” Rahul felt bad. He took out ten rupees from his pocket and gave it to the boy. The boy, overjoyed, thanked him and left.
After walking a bit further, Rahul saw a shopkeeper picking up a coin—the same one-rupee coin. For a moment, Rahul felt annoyed, but then he smiled. He thought, “Maybe those ten rupees meant more to that boy.”
Moral of the story: Sometimes, even small help can make someone’s day. Always be ready to assist others.
