Today was Leena’s birthday. She wished her grandmother, who lived in another city, could visit her. But her grandmother was unable to come, and Leena felt sad.
In the evening, the aroma of baking cake filled Leena’s room. Surprised, she went to the kitchen and found her father decorating a cake. He explained that her grandmother was guiding him over a video call.
Seeing her grandmother on the video call, Leena jumped with joy. Her grandmother sang a song and told her a story. Though far away, Leena felt her grandmother was right there with her.
Later, Leena showed her grandmother a greeting card she had made via the video call. Her grandmother praised the card and wished Leena a happy birthday. Though her grandmother wasn’t physically present, Leena was overjoyed.
Moral of the story: Distance cannot diminish love. We can always make our loved ones feel cherished.
