Riya was eagerly awaiting Christmas. She decorated her room, adorned the Christmas tree, and wrote a letter to Santa Claus. She asked her mother, “Mom, does Santa Claus really come?”
Her mother smiled and said, “Dear, Santa Claus does come, but he only gives gifts to good children.” Riya decided she would be the best child this year. She drank milk, ate vegetables, and helped her mother all day.
On Christmas night, Riya went to sleep. In the morning, she found a beautiful toy by her bed. Riya was thrilled, thinking Santa Claus had really come.
But then she noticed a small balloon by the window with “Love you, Mom” written on it. Riya realized the gift was from her mother. She hugged her mother tightly.
