Riya didn’t like the rain much. One day, it was raining continuously, and Riya was bored sitting at home. Seeing this, her grandmother came close and said, “Riya, the fun of rain is something else outside.”
Riya was surprised and asked, “Dadi Ma, what’s fun about rain?” Her grandmother smiled and said, “Rain makes trees and plants lush green. Insects and creatures rejoice. The whole earth feels like it’s had a bath.”
Riya thought about it and found her grandmother’s words true. She put on a raincoat and stood on the veranda. Raindrops touched her, and the leaves of the trees swayed. Slowly, Riya began to enjoy the rain.
Moral of the story: Sometimes, looking at things from a different perspective reveals their beauty.
