While drinking morning tea, Anjali accidentally broke her grandmother’s bangle. She was very upset, as the bangle reminded her grandmother of her grandfather. Anjali apologized and said, “Let’s buy a new bangle.”
Her grandmother smiled and said, “No, dear. Even broken things have their own beauty. If it can be fixed, I’ll wear it; if not, I’ll keep it safely.” A few days later, Anjali had the broken bangle repaired by a craftsman. Her grandmother was overjoyed and hugged her.
Moral of the story: We should respect old things, as they carry precious memories. Instead of hastily discarding broken items, we should try to repair them.
