Reena and Meena were very close friends. On their way to school, they passed a tree that always bore sweet mangoes. Reena loved mangoes, but Meena didn’t.
One day, Reena picked a mango from the tree. Meena stopped her, saying, “Reena, don’t do that. It’s wrong.” Ignoring her, Reena ate the mango.
The next day, the tree’s owner caught Reena picking a mango. Scared, she started to run, but Meena grabbed her hand. Together, they apologized to the owner and paid him for the mango.
That evening, Reena visited Meena’s house. Meena gave her a mango. Reena said, “I love mangoes, but you don’t eat them.” Meena smiled and replied, “Today, this mango isn’t for you—it’s for the sweetness of our friendship.”
Reena realized her mistake. She apologized to Meena and promised never to pick fruit from a tree without permission again. They hugged and celebrated their friendship.
